Partner Profile – Professor Simon Beecham

simon_beechamProfessor Simon Beecham represents the University of South Australia on ICE WaRM’s Board of Studies, the body overseeing the ICE WaRM nested Master Programme and comprising programme directors from each partner university.

He is a former chair of the Board of Studies and is heavily involved in ICE WaRM’s education programmes.

Professor Beecham is the Director of the Centre for Water Management and Reuse, Professor of Sustainable Water Resources Engineering and Head of Civil Engineering at the University of South Australia.

His research interests include total water cycle management, water sensitive urban design, sewer system modelling, siphonic roof water harvesting and reuse and the impact of climate change on urban water systems.

He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester and a Graduate Certificate of Higher Education from the University of Technology in Sydney.
