Skills Shortage Study Gathers Pace
Monday, 14 July, 2008
ICE WaRM is carrying out an extensive study of one of the major issues facing Australia’s water industry – the growing skills shortage.
The skills shortage, which developed over the last two decades, has become even more urgent with the coincidence of the drought and climate change.
The national audit and strategy development study involves widespread consultation across the water industry.
In the second phase of the project, ICE WaRM is hosting a series of workshops over three weeks involving all states – including joint workshops for Victoria and Tasmania and South Australia and the Northern Territory.
